Environmental Responsibility and Sustainable Production Policy
At DESIGN by RHINO, our mission is to provide high-quality textile marking products and custom stickers while minimizing our impact on the environment. Our business model, based on on-demand production (zero stock), is at the heart of this commitment.
1. Anti-Waste Production Model (Zero Stock)
Our fundamental choice of on-demand production is our main environmental lever:
· Waste Reduction: By producing only what is ordered, we completely eliminate the need to stock merchandise and the risk of unsold items, thus reducing the waste associated with unsold inventory.
· Raw Material Optimization: Each piece (textile, sticker, or key shell) is produced in a targeted manner, which allows for optimizing the use of raw materials and minimizing material scraps.
2. Logistics Efficiency and CO2 Emission Reduction
Thanks to our organization and choice of partners, we significantly limit greenhouse gas emissions:
· Zero Business Travel: Our online and remote operation eliminates daily commuting and business trips, thus reducing our own carbon footprint related to transport.
· Decarbonized Logistics Partnership: For our shipments, we exclusively trust the La Poste Group (including its standard services, Chronopost, and Shop2Shop). This partnership allows us to rely on a major player committed to low-carbon logistics, possessing one of the largest fleets of electric vehicles in Europe. The use of electric vehicles in urban areas by La Poste concretely contributes to reducing the carbon footprint and improving the air quality of our deliveries.
3. Specific Materials and Production Processes
We recognize that the durability of our products requires the use of technical materials, and we make every effort to mitigate their impact:
A. Textile Marking (Heat Transfer Vinyl - HTV)
· We use the heat transfer vinyl (HTV) technique, which allows for precise application, limits material waste, and does not generate liquid effluent.
· We prioritize, where possible, textiles made from certified organic cotton / recycled / OEKO-TEX / Vegan approved materials.
B. Stickers (Anti-UV Polymeric Vinyls)
· To ensure the UV resistance and longevity of our stickers (thereby reducing the frequency of replacement), we use polymeric vinyls. This choice ensures maximum product durability.
C. Key Shell Finish (2K Varnish)
· To guarantee the protection and resistance of our key shells, we apply a 2K varnish.
· Effluent Control: The application is performed in small quantities, and we ensure that varnish mist extraction is systematically filtered before being released into the environment, guaranteeing the safety and compliance of our operations.
D. Waste Management
· Waste inherent in the process (vinyl scraps, transfer papers, supports, residues) is sorted and managed according to appropriate recycling channels.
4. Digital Efficiency and Continuous Improvement
· Lightweight Design: Our site and CMS are designed to be simple and fast to load, thus reducing the energy consumption of servers and our users' devices (web eco-design).
· Transparency: We commit to regularly re-evaluating our processes and material choices to find ever more ecological alternatives, without compromising the quality and durability of our products.
