Who is the founder of Design by Rhino, Stéphane Garino?
Welcome aboard Design by Rhino. I am Stéphane Garino, and I founded the company Design by Rhino in 2016 in Marseille. A trained draftsman in construction and Civil Engineering since 1996, I worked for 10 years in the mobile telephony sector to develop the Itinéris network (now Orange) and as a project manager in project and contract management for the operator Bouygues Télécom.
Then, until 2016, I was a works supervisor for the construction of individual houses and a business manager for the design, fitting out, and rehabilitation of stores and commercial areas.
These are professions where I still occasionally intervene on specific missions, as I still have this enthusiasm ingrained in me.
While the tertiary sector of the building world is constantly evolving with innovative technicalities, this is not the case for the execution phase, where European market laws and the greed of certain leaders harm coordination and proper execution on the ground. You can leave the construction industry and return every 10 years, and it will always be the same state of operation, which is the lack of rigor, training, and coordination.
This is why I wanted to return to my roots, the main one being graphic creation. The concepts of creativity and engineering are at the heart of my company's values. These are the values I serve through my company for the creation of my products.
A new beginning with the acquisition of an Audi
It all started when I bought an Audi in 2013 with mechanical issues. I browsed car forums to repair it myself, quickly became passionate about mechanics, and bonded with the members. I loved illustrating my avatars and banners, and people often asked me to make them, and then, while participating in Facebook car groups, I started logoing them with vehicle silhouettes. That's when people asked me to realize my creations on media such as stickers, and then t-shirts. Quickly, and facing growing demand, I decided to launch myself into this sector of graphic creation and personalized products, by creating Design by Rhino.
Origin of my nickname
As often happens, nicknames come from school or professional environments. It is easy to understand that it comes from my surname, Garino, the 'rhino guy' (gars rhino), the rhinoceros! Later, as a rigorous and implacable works supervisor, I was nicknamed the 'fierce rhino' (rhino féroce), probably also linked to my massive build.
What are my creations and products?
With Design by Rhino, I have designed a workshop for 100% custom-made textile products, such as:
· Emblems, badges, and silhouettes of automobile models entirely drawn, which makes them conform to the originals, unlike sticker shops on the web where you find the same coarsely vectorized logos from online image banks.
· Creation of apparel to highlight the colors of companies and businesses, car groups, clubs, and associations.
· Car key remote shells entirely handcrafted. Since 2016, they have benefited from constant aesthetic evolution. Where the manufacturing time was half a day before shipping, this period has increased to 4 to 5 days, depending on whether the shell is painted in the vehicle body color, to allow for drying times. The preparation and realization times total 5 to 6 hours. Announced delays can cover several weeks depending on stocks and demand. For those who wonder why their price is high, compare the hourly rate of a body painter with supplies, and you will get a price that would become completely outrageous!
Given the visual success they generate, my shells have quickly been reproduced by unscrupulous sellers, with insignificant logos and a vastly inferior finish.
Items are made to order: Items including markings, stickers, and key shells are considered personalized upon receipt of the customer order. Markings on items are therefore made upon receipt of a single or grouped supplier order. For more information, consult the GTU here
Photo montages and the Rhino quattro tag: When a photo inspires me, I sometimes create a photo collage, often the theme revolves around the brand with the four rings (Audi), hence the Rhino quattro tag. This tag has become an emblem on all graphic creations and dedicated items. You can find the high-resolution paintings on the site's Facebook page as well as on Instagram. Despite your numerous requests, I am not yet equipped to make prints.
What is the quality of my products?
· Apparel comes from French and European suppliers and distributors, certified with textile labels. A wide range is offered, from advertising quality t-shirts to those made from organic combed cotton of the highest quality, as offered by the Anthem brand, highly technical softshell jackets such as those offered by the Stormtech brand, as well as luxurious polo shirts from the Nimbus brand.
· Textile markings are made by hot transfer using high-quality polyurethane flex, as well as anti-sublimation ink bleed flex on the most delicate items. This is so your clothes resist wash after wash.
· Stickers and adhesives are made only with calendered polymer PVC/Vinyl, which resist temperature variations, weather, UV, and solvents/chemicals, with a lifespan of up to 8 to 10 years for certain colors like white and black.
· Car key remote shells are made with 2 layers of 2K acrylic varnish finish, followed by detailing worthy of a bodywork preparation, and a ceramic finish and protection. The carbon shells offered are certified as genuine carbon fiber and delivered in a presentation box. Others, whose composition is fiberglass, are equally sumptuous.

I have naturally maintained and developed my draftsman's creativity as well as my technician's approach, and I listen carefully to clients' needs and expectations. In fact, when I start a graphic creation, I create it with as much force and passion as if it were for myself, which generally means the first draft is 99% correct. This listening is central to my innovation work.
